The photographic images of Judy Ellis Glickman, taken in Denmark, Germany and Eastern Europe, feature the survivors and rescuers of the 1943 evacuation of 7500 Jews from Denmark. Glickman's evocation of the experiences of the Danish response provides a striking narrative of individual and collective resistance set against the deadly background of the concentration and extermination camps in Eastern Europe.

This exhibit was presented by the EPIIC program of the Institute for Global Leadership at Tufts University and by Humanity in Action (HIA). HIA is a unique educational venture in association with the Institute for Global Leadership at Tufts University and with Johns Hopkins University and in cooperation with the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. The purpose of Humanity in Action is to expand the inter-generational community of people who share deep concern for human rights and resistance to violations of minority rights; to engage the concern of promising young women and men about human rights; to foster their commitment to the protection of minorities.
