^{Two panels, morning and afternoon, will discuss modern warfare and how reporters fit into the military framework. Panelists include journalists, a news photographer, a member of the Massachusetts National Guard, and a former Army public affairs officer. Keynote speakers are globetrotting reporter Kevin Sites, who coined the concept of “backpack journalism” and wrote “In the Hot Zone: One Man, One Year, Twenty Wars,” and Sebastian Junger, journalist and author of “The Perfect Storm,” who has covered many conflicts including wars in Afghanistan and Bosnia.}
