Throughout the academic year, visiting practitioners will be hosted at the Program to work with students both in the classroom and in the field. Journalists, academics, scientists, politicians, and humanitarian workers, among others, will be invited to provide the students the opportunity to refine their interviewing skills, build their contacts and deepen their knowledge of particular subject areas. The journalists will be from a range of mediums, from television and radio to photography
and print. Artists, anthropologists, poets and non-fiction writers will be invited to help students develop and improve their observational and language skills. The Program seeks to foster a collaborative, community-based environment whereby students have access to inspiring people and their work and are able to gain insight into how these professionals apply their craft.
