I worked with Internet.Bar Organization (IBO) through its project, the PeaceTones Initiative in Boston and Haiti.
My internship was based in media, development, and e-commerce. My strengths are in photography and video; however, I recorded audio and helped run e-commerce trainings. Most of the material generated during my internship was shot abroad and edited in Boston.
The highlight of my internship was having a chance to connect PeaceTones and Jeff with the residents of Balan. It felt good seeing members of RESPE: Balan taking Jeff on motorcycle rides to see the bay and talking with his about law. To have the connection that was made during the first days of the Haitian students visit to Boston for the EPIIC Symposium this past February, turn into the actualization of a project on the ground, was amazing and essential for accountability.
