Gaurav Relhan
The primary objective of my internship with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) was to partake in the promotion of sustainable industrial development through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) advancement in developing countries.
At the Fletcher School, I am pursuing the fields of ‘Economic Development’ and ‘International Trade & Finance’ to study and analyze the macro and micro-economic importance of SMEs in rural wealth creation and the effect of international trade (in the form of technology transfers) in shaping the economic globalization process. Thereby, this internship experience provided an excellent opportunity to leverage quantitative and qualitative skills acquired at Fletcher to directly observe effects of technology transfers (through ICT trade) on SMEs’ employment potential and productivity.
